It's a number placement game that can be solved using logic and
logic alone.

in all the empty squares so that every column, row and 3x3 grid
contains the numbers 1 to 9.

The first puzzle appeared by Dell magazines in the late 1970s, however
it was originally called number place.
Where does the name come from?
The name is Japanese. The puzzles full name is "Suuji wa dokushin
ni kagiru" which means "number is limited only single
(unmarried)" however it was shortened to Soduku.
